Mark your calendars. May 24 is Public Works Day.
From noon to 2 p.m., the Monett Public Works Department will have its equipment on display for community members to see at the Public Works Building located at 594 17th St. in Monett. Local youngsters will be invited to get an up-close look at the city's tractors, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks and more, in a safe environment.
There will also be a limited supply of activity books for children in preschool through third grade.
