Customer information for city wide lead inventory of the water system

The City of Monett has been awarded a grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to investigate if there are lead service lines in the City’s water system.  The Environmental Protection Agency has put rules in place requiring water providers to inventory the lead in their systems and to eventually remove all lead from the water system.  This is the first phase to get an inventory of every water connection in town.  The City has contracted Byrne & Jones Construction to lead this investigation.  It is important for the City and citizens to work together to gather as much information as possible in this process to ensure that we continue to have an economical and safe water supply.
